Goal: The topic of this seminar is elliptic curves over function fields over finite fields, with the aim being to study Tate’s conjecture and its connection to the Birch-Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. We mainly follow the lecture notes by Ulmer.

We will also survey several aspects of elliptic curves over the function field setting. Here is the detailed program.
